Birds of a Feather: Great Egret

Hard to believe and totally grateful at the same time our community’s pond/ wetland, that our house surrounds, attracts a variety of birds most of the year.  From geese, mallards, herons and egrets, I even saw for the first time today a Belted Kingfisher fly past as I was  looking out my bedroom window.  Every time I see birds near the pond, you can probably find me out there with camera in tow to try and capture a few photographs.  This is the first time I have been able to get this close to photograph one of the Great Egret that frequents the pond. I am still trying to capture some better shots of the egret in flight.  One of these days! 🙂
