Birds of A Feather: American Goldfinch (I Think?!)

So many birds, so little time.

I am by any means an Ornithologist a.k.a. Birdologist, I simply enjoy discovering them with the help of my camera.  We all know common types of birds like robins, sparrows and cardinals, but when I am trying to identify birds not so commonly known to me, I typically refer to the modern day encyclopedia, I “Google it!”.  Do you know how many different types of finch’s there are in this world? Yeah! It’s a lot! So with that being said, I am guessing that this is an American Goldfinch I captured at takeoff while hiking through Taltree Arboretum and Gardens in Valparaiso, Indiana.
